2. What this is about
Protecting your data matters to me – and as a psychotherapist I am also bound by professional secrecy. This policy describes which data are processed when you visit this website and when you get in touch through it. It follows the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG); where the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, its requirements apply in addition.
How your data are handled during an ongoing therapy is set out on the Patient rights page.
3. When you visit this website
When you open this website, the hosting provider's server records technical details in a log file: shortened or full IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser and operating system used, and the page visited previously.
These data are needed for the secure and stable operation of the website. They are not used to identify individual visitors and are deleted after a short time.
4. Hosting
This website is run using the website builder of Hostinger International Ltd. Hostinger processes the data described in section 3 on my behalf and is contractually bound to confidentiality.
Hostinger operates data centres in several countries – in Europe as well as in Asia and North and South America. For websites built with the builder, the specific location is not shown in the customer area and cannot be selected. Where data are processed outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area, the transfer is based on Hostinger's data processing and data protection terms.
5. Cookies and visitor statistics
This website sets only technically necessary cookies required for the site to work. No third-party analytics or advertising services are embedded – no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no Tag Manager and nothing comparable. Your behaviour on this website is not analysed and is not passed on to third parties.
Hostinger itself evaluates the log data from section 3 in aggregated form. This shows me how many sessions there were in a given period, which countries visitors came from and whether they used a computer, a phone or a tablet. This statistic is limited to such aggregate figures and allows no conclusions about individual people.
6. Contact form
The contact form on the Contact page collects the following details: first name, surname, e-mail address, your telephone number if you wish, the selected subject of your enquiry and the text of your message.
Purpose: handling your enquiry and making contact.
Basis: your consent, given by ticking the box in the form, and the initiation of a treatment relationship.
Recipient: the details are sent to my e-mail address and are additionally stored with the hosting provider in the list of form submissions. They are not passed on to any other third parties.
Retention: enquiries that do not lead to treatment are deleted once they have been dealt with. If you expressly wish me to keep your enquiry for longer – because therapy may become relevant at a later point, for example – I am happy to do so; just let me know. If the enquiry leads to a treatment relationship, the statutory retention periods for patient records apply.
Important note: transmission via the form is not encrypted. Please give only general information in the form. Health information and other confidential content are best discussed in person or by telephone, or sent encrypted to b.gabriel@hin.ch.
7. Contact by e-mail, telephone and WhatsApp
If you contact me by e-mail, telephone or WhatsApp, I process the details that arise solely in order to answer your enquiry.
Ordinary e-mails are transmitted unencrypted and can be read along the way. On WhatsApp the content is encrypted, but the operator (Meta) knows who is in contact with whom and when. For confidential content, please therefore use the HIN address b.gabriel@hin.ch or a personal conversation.
8. Links to social networks
In the footer you will find an icon linking to my Facebook page. It is an ordinary link, not an embedded feature: no data are transmitted to Facebook when you visit this website. Only when you click the link do the operator's data protection provisions apply.
9. Your rights
Within the scope of applicable law you have the right to ask whether and which data about you are processed; to have inaccurate data corrected; to request the deletion of your data, provided no statutory retention obligation stands in the way; to withdraw consent at any time, without giving reasons and with effect for the future; and to object to processing.
Please contact info@theramondo.com for this. For security reasons I may request proof of identity. If you believe your data are not being processed lawfully, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
10. Data security
The website is delivered encrypted via HTTPS. I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. Complete security in transmission over the internet cannot, however, be guaranteed.
11. Changes
I may adapt this privacy policy at any time, for example if what this website offers changes. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
